Tiger in cage

Thanks: Outlookindia.com
Ganguly is the name, the entire media has chopped for the past one month. Just rewind your self behind 4 years. He is an excellent player, an aggressive captain, who lead the team India up to the finals of world cup 2003 with 3 centuries, who play well against spin, third player to reach 10000 runs in ODI, India’s most successful captain. When you take test matches, among the total match of 393, India won 81, matches won under Ganguly are 21. Despite his all achievements and records, now he is criticized almost by everyone. The career graph of any player shows severe fluctuation at times. Ganguly is not exceptional from it. Now he is at his worst time. No cricketer is treated as worst as Ganguly in recent times. Who once considered as Dada of Indian cricket is now struggling to hold a place in team. His own teammates hesitate to talk with him. This is the worst situation created by us (which includes media) to a dedicated player who played for India more than a decade. Do please remember players Azhar, Jedaja who caught in match fixing; even they do not face such humiliation. I agree, he has not played well for the past 1 year but he is the one who shaped the team with high sprit. Tried many youngsters like Sehwag, Yuvraj, Pathan, Harbajan, Kaif, Balaji etc., I am not arguing for a place for him in team. Please provide enough time for him to bounce back. Don’t talk/discuss about his retirement since lot of cricket is left with him.
